InkBall, a game previously available only with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, was included in most editions and could also be played using a mouse. New games were also included, namely Purble Place, Chess Titans, and Mahjong Titans. Minesweeper, Solitaire, Hearts, FreeCell and Spider Solitaire were updated and rewritten to take advantage of Windows Vista's new graphics capabilities. Windows Vista added a Games Explorer to make it easier to manage multiple installed games from a single location. Windows Vista included DirectX 10 and introduced new games by Oberon Games. Windows Games had new icons no other changes were made, but network play was removed from Hearts. Windows XP included DirectX 8.1-9.0c and includes Windows Me's games. 3D Pinball was also installed by default. It included 5 internet games: Internet Backgammon, Checkers, Hearts, Reversi, and Spades. Windows Me debuted Internet Games from MSN Gaming Zone. Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0 included the same games, such as FreeCell, Minesweeper, and Solitaire. However, a compact installation would not install any games. Windows 95 added FreeCell to the collection. Windows for Workgroups 3.1 also contains Hearts. Windows 3.1 replaced Reversi in favor of Minesweeper. It is the last version to have the AI version of Reversi. Windows 3.0 also added Solitaire alongside Reversi. reversi.exe is the file name for the game and could be played against an AI. Windows 1.0 and Windows 2.0 included only one game, Reversi.
